Rituals? No pickle juice here. One whiff of my homemade medium and I'm ready to paint. When I’m having one of those off days, I sometimes find a rapid cure in tidying my workspace. It puts me in touch with what I have and need (water), what I need but don't have (Manganese Blue), what I don’t need but have (two tubes of Titanium Buff), and what I don’t need and don’t have (turpentine).
